Like your paper goods with pizzazz?

Check out Lovely Somethings, a new stationery shop in Bath’s Ghent Square.

Owner Liz Scott offers an out-of-the-ordinary array of greeting cards, wrappings, note cards, home accessories and other items, as well as her custom-designed invitations.

It’s a small shop, but a fun one. Reading the greeting cards is a hoot. My favorite is a money holder that says, “Let’s cut the crap. I know what you really want.”

And here’s the best part: There’s a vintage candy machine dispensing goodies like candy corn and jelly beans. And it’s free. The kid inside you will do a happy dance.

The things in the shop are created by Scott and her friends. Some have a Northeast Ohio theme. Some have a bit of attitude. Some are just sweet.

Scott has had her own graphic design studio for 11 years and said she sort of fell into the stationery business because she was creating wedding invitations for herself and her friends. “It’s kind of evolved,” she said.

The shop opened last weekend but will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday. An origami performer is scheduled from noon to 2 p.m.

Lovely Somethings is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, and at other times by appointment. The shop is at 843 N. Cleveland-Massillon Road.
