A new stationery shop in Bath Township celebrates its grand opening Saturday.
Lovely Somethings has been open since last weekend in Bath’s Ghent Square, but Saturday (Oct. 18) is the official opening event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. An origami performer is scheduled from noon to 2 p.m.
Owner Liz Scott offers an out-of-the-ordinary array of greeting cards, wrappings, note cards, home accessories and other items, as well as her custom-designed invitations. Kids young and old will love the vintage candy machine, which dispenses candy corn, jelly beans and other goodies.
The items in the shop run the gamut from sweet to sassy. Some have a Northeast Ohio theme.
Scott has had her own graphic design studio for 11 years and said she fell into the stationery business because she was creating wedding invitations for herself and her friends. “It’s kind of evolved,” she said.
Lovely Somethings is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, and at other times by appointment. The shop is at 843 N. Cleveland-Massillon Road.
